LsX engine swap into 1967 corvette
I am very interested in swapping a ls1 or ls6 into a 67 corvette. how much work would it be to accomplish this? ill be running a c6 tranny as well. I plan on doing a set of AFR 225's custom grind cam, and 383 stroker bottom end. any help on how to go about this will be greatly appreciated. thanks - Ryan

A swap into a '67 is very similar to a swap into a '70s Corvette, as they share the same chassis. You're going to encounter all of the same issues that we did. My site has some decent info and pictures and should get you started. 99.9% of the issues have been documented here on this forum, so assuming that Search works, all of the answers are out there.
What do you mean by "c6 tranny"? Corvette C6 or Ford C6? If Corvette, you're in for a lot of work. If you're up for it, there's a company called Philadelphia Motorsports that is building tube frames with C5/C6 suspension (including the transaxle and torque tube) for C2 and C3 bodies. It's a very slick setup but it's not cheap.

I am putting a LS1 in a 68 vette and I purchased the S&P mounts but they did not work for me - they are 1/2" thick aluminum and did not allow for proper motor mount alignment. I had to make mine from 1/4" stainless to acheive proper alignment. Just a heads up...
