Default windage tray

I have modifyed my oil pan and oilpickup,And now I wonder..Do I need the windage tray? I can modify it, but do I need it?

There's a reason why it's in there from the factory, I would use it, myself.

The windage tray is there to reduce parasitic drag created by the crankshaft slinging excessive oil. So, it actually frees up horsepower -- probably only 1 or 2 hp, but still enough to make it worth keeping.
