Default ATS LSX engine plates in stock!

Guys-
We have a entire batch of engine plates on the shelf ready to ship out. This plate design is unique to the industry, and was engineered for the performance minded enthusiast. We have made the LSX engine sit as low and far back into the chasiss as possible, for a great balance of weight.
The engine plates are designed to work around the Energy Suspension Poly engine mounts, and even have a pill shaped pocked milled out of the plates to mate them perfectly.

The plates are made from 6061 T6 aluminum, milled to the correct width, and then hard coated black. They come will all grade 8 black oxidized hardware, ready to install.
These plates will allow the LSX to bolt in to the engine bays of most any car that had a small or big block chevy in them. The list includes:
67-69 Camaro/Firebird
68-74 Nova/Ventura
64-72 Chevelle/Tempest/GTO/Cutlass
70-81 Camaro/Firebird
82-92 Camaro/Firebird
Many others....

You can see how well these plates work on a few members cars on this board, including NineBall, Steve68, etc. Also look for a complete article in HOT ROD magazine as Mark Stielow guides you through bolting an LS7/T56 combo into a 69 Camaro exclusively using all of ATS's parts line up.

question...

on most SBCs mounts ive seen, the rubber mount is on the chassis, and the engine has a metal "U bracket"

from the looks of this, i would be using both my rubber/poly stock mount for my chassis, AND it would have a poly mount built into yours.... correct?
do i have to swap my cars mounts to solid mounts before i use yours? wont having two flexible mounts on each side be too much?

I'm almost positive with their kit you leave the factory "clam shells" bolted to the frame. Slap these on the engine and drop it in.

Looking forward to seeing that article, Tyler, it probably feels great to get some good press.

Well, one question remains from a different thread ... it was commented that the ATS mounts were made based on the corvette style accessories, and thus the f-body accessories may not work, especially based on the "as low and far back as possible" comment. Of course the a/c won't work regardless, but is the alternator now an issue?

I suppose I'll find out for myself in a bit, since I have the ATS plates and an '01 f-body LS1 for my 78 t/a ... but it would be nice to know before I start if it definitely won't work ....

How much are these?

Looked at the site but unless I missed it, I didn't see any price info on anything.

What's the position difference in these and the S&P plates?

Anyone use these in a 1st Gen Nova yet?

Let me know.

Thanks...

Doing a carbed Ls1 swap into my 1970 Firebird with a th350.

Will these plates effect the allignment of the factory TH350 to the LS1? Will the transmission crossmember need to be modified?

These are very nice pieces! I used similar ones in my '62 Nova and had to do some modifications to get the motor mounts to bolt to the chassis mounts because of the extra width and the trans mount had to have an adapter plate in order to bolt to the cross member. The alternator fit fine, the AC compressor would not of course, and I am still deciding on headers.

I'm also curious about the Hookers in an A-body, or any other header fitment with these mounts.

Clients have reported back that the Hookers and Stainless Works headers fit with our engine plates in an F body. The 2nd gen fitment and the T350 auto will more than likely require a crossmember relocation.

Teetoe, any price on the mounts? I could use a set yesterday for my third gen car "if" they'll work. I'm doing a third gen/th350 in mine. What pan do I need to use?

Any idea if these motor plates will work with an OBS truck?

I had problems with the Stainless Works hitting the steering box and the rag joint. Sent them back and got the Hookers. Although one tube is a hair from touching the steering box, they are going to work.

Pricing is $125, our website is www.t56kit.com

We are never ashamed to post up pics or pricing of our products. We make the markets best LSX swap parts, and even General Motors comes to us for their LSX retro-fit needs.
