77 Bandit TA
one of the cars I'd like to mod as well, but every time I Think about the undertaking, it makes me tired just thinking of everything that would need to be fixed on it :O, that is prior to putting a built LS1/6 into it

excellent choice and please keep us updated
I've also decided to change the order of how I'm doing things. Original plan was to get the new engine/xmission in and then work on the suspension. But since we're pulling fenders off, dropping the subframe, etc. it seems like a smarter idea to do all the suspension/brakes work first.
While it will look as stock as possible, this is going to be a solid pro-touring vehicle. To give you an idea:
Suspension: pro-touringf-body.com front springs and rear leafs with new poly & rubber bushings and shackles; pro-touring-fbody subframe connectors and solid body bushings; SC&C adjustable upper control arms with race bushings and tall lower ball joint for better camber, caster and bumpsteer; Global West del-a-lum bushings in the lower control arm; poly bushings for front/rear sway bar; new rear sway bar drop link; QA1 adjustable shocks all around.
Steering: all new moog steering linkages (tie-rods, ball joints, center drag, idler); ATS 12:1 steering box,
Brakes: wilwood drilled/slotted discs all around
Wheels: Works VS-XX 17x9.5 with 275/40's up front and 17x10.5 with either 285/40's or 315/35's in the back.
And of course, the LS1+T56, true dual exhaust and mods as $$ allows.
Yeehaw!!!!! Here's a picture of her. I've got about 200 more pictures that I've got in a hidden gallery on my site (ls1bandit.com) which I'll make public after I organize things a bit.

Here's a photo of another 78 with wheels identical to what I'm putting on mine (I'd show you photos of mine, but they're still being made
