Crap im about to buy a motor and its either an ls1 or a 6L. ls1 because its all alluminum, powerful, efficient. the 6L is 2nd because its an iron block but a big possibility because if i got that id end up with a cam and l92 head setup. i just dont knw anymore 
or i could get an LS2 block and put a 6L assembly in it:dunno:

depends on howmuch money you want to spend...how much time you have and like fastkat said, your performance goals. Once you figure that out, you can chose what engine best meets most of your goals.
