sump oil pan infomation

oil pan, information wanted question am in austraila have local gen 3 want to fit to 1967 chevelle 2 door aussie oil sump and pickup in front need rear type i obtained new usa sump p/no 12558762 but unlike our sumps it has no provison for oil filter or dipstick and did not come with oil pickup. our motors are same as ones fitted to pontaic gto in us do you have dipsticks and oil filters ? are oil pickups sold on own ? can someone tell me about these differences . any help appereated or has some one else done this swap, i have one of around 6 67 2/doors in aussie parts and info hard to get. my email / 250custom@gmail.com.au thank you hope to be over there soon

I think the Chevelle guys are all using the Camaro/Firebird (F-Body) pan, not sure if they having to notch it or not. Try a search here on the conversios borad for A Body LS1 and see what you get. Check the classifieds for an F-body pan, also EBay. The filter is at the left rear (looking from the back toward the front of the car), the dipstick is on the opposite side in about the middle. Hope that helps

oil dipstick on Camaro engine passes through the block, not the sump.
Although a camaro sump should have the oil filter located at the left hand rear of the sump.
M20 threaded adaptor on RHS is for low oil level.
Can you post pics of the sump you have ?? sounds very weird for a factory sump not to have a filter provision ??
