68 camaro with ls1 supercharged?
68 camaro w/ls1 supercharged I am getting out of the import scene and into muscle cars. I am looking to buy a 67-69 camaro and put a ls1 motor and m6 in it. I have searched a lot and found a bunch of good info. What do you think would be a reasonable gustimate on how much this swap will cost. I think I can get the motor and tranny package for $5k, so all the other parts that I will need.

If you search hard enough you should be able to find a take out motor for around 3 grand. For the basic swap you could do it for around 6 grand as there is alot of support for the LSX first gen F bods. Check out the conversions and hybrids section and you will find a wealth of info.
I'm in the process of doing this now to my Chevelle. It's looking like it's gonna cost about 6500 for everything I need including a new cam and spring kit, LS6 ported oil pump, LS2 timing chain, and LS6 pcv conversion. I should know in the next couple months what the final cost will be. I got my motor and trans for 4500.
Ask Nine Ball he did the same thing you want to do. There was an article in GM High Tech Performance, I think, but I can't find it right now. Someone here should know what I'm talking about and post a link.
