Default 62 Chevy II Project

I've been lurking on this site for over a year.
Figured I'd post a few photos of my project.
Haven't done much more than parts collecting for the last few months.

Going to put the motor in this weekend just to check clearance.

Here are a few shots of everything I have so far:

My junk...

I originaly planned to put a 408 stroker in the car so you will see some overkill in the fuel deparment.
I decided to get the motor in and everything working and then either do a head/cam swap on this motor or build my stroker and swap it later.
Just like any project, plans change day to day.

Hey,

Nice car, I am glad that oil pan is going into such a nice Chevy II. Where did you find your LS6 intake as I would like to find one myself one of these days. My car is running and is my daily driver and I am saving up for a paint job and suspension upgrades.

Got the intake from the "for sale" section on here.
I think it was $315 shipped.
Plenty of good deals between here and the truck site.
I got about $8000 in the whole thing right now.

Put the motor in the car Saturday but my mounts are off about 3/8".
I have the Heidt's aftermarket frount end and I'm using S&P style plates with Energy Suspension motor mounts.
Seems like I'm off about the width of the plates...
Before I cut and move the stand I'm looking for suggestions.
Anyone?

Cool project! What is not lining up the motor mount bolts? Did you have a motor in there before I guess yes?

Not trying to steer things in another direction but I am hunting the same motor for my nova as we speak. What oil pan is that you have? Did you try the van pan at all? Are the vans acc, going to work for you. Look forward to some updates!

Motor mount bolt holes are about 3/8" off between the two. If I bolt one side the other side is about 3/8" off. Before I cut and move it, I'm going to try some different mounts and also maybe some thinner mounting plates.

That is a stock f-body pan and I have about 1/2" or so clearance.
