New Brake System recommendations I'm looking for a complete system to replace my 2nd gen OEM brake system.
I want something really good for performance, but I don't need "THE best" that costs $2500.
I just got all the money I was waiting on.
Still waiting on Speartech to finish my harness.....and then she's off to get her LS1 transplant.
I'm dying to get it done.
I'm looking to keep it @ or around $1,000 for a whole new brake system.
Upgrade to an LS1 requires better brakes I would think.
I need recommendations. I have hear Baer brakes were pretty good.
I'm looking for something along the lines of those Corvette style brakes.
Wanna keep it a Chevy thang.
I need to do this before I walk into a Bike Dealership and change my mind.

use LS1 rear brakes, C5 fronts. really cheap swap, and killer stopping power. 12" rear 13" front. Do a little research on www.pro-touring.com under the disc brake section, lots of people doing the same thing you are looking to do. The swap will involve new braided brake lines (to convert to 10mm banjo bolts), brackets to bolt the calipers to your spindles, and possible minor machining of your hubs (whether you have front hubs or not, already.) beautiful car, btw.
