general newb question

general newb question alright guys. thought about buying somer german engineering, but then i realized the ls1>*. so i figured a could do what many other do, swap the motor. i have a 1993 3.4l v6 automatic. the car has 287,000 miles and still runs like a freaking champ. take that hondas. anyways, looking to do the swap over a span of the next year, getting parts, and doing research blah blah blah. so this is what my to do list is:
obtain an ls1 w/auto tranny
drive shaft
rear end
computer
belt driven accessories
guage cluster
suspension, struts, braces, sub frame connectors
brakes will be last
i know im forgetting stuff. but is that most of it? i figured about 8 grand for the whole thing. paying someone else to install. Is the swap considered "hard." also, what kind of obstacles would I encounter. Any and all replyies are apriciated. Keep it simple right now

its a v-sux. check the description. but i think i solved my problem. i can get an SS or a z28 for cheap.. so i guess thats what ill do. would have been nice for my parents to not find out i got a new car though, b/c then their gonna think twice about paying my rent at FSU. thanks anyways.
