Silverado to LS1
Silverado to LS1 Im sure this should be a plug and play install but just want to make sure.
My friend has a 2000 5.3 auto. To go to an LS1 do we need a complete with ecm? Or will the 5.3 ecm work with a reprogram?
Also do we don't need accesories right? Should bolt up to the 4L60e I assume so Im thinking this should be an easy swap unless the block changed as far as mounts for iron to aluminum.

Yes, it is a plug and play install. Many people over on performancetrucks.net (a sister site to LS1tech) have done the conversion and can probably help you out with any questions.
