what would you do?
so here is my question and i wanted to know what you guys though. i have a 93 mustang that i really wanted to do the ls1 swap but right now money is tight. so right now i was given a mustang 4.6 2v engine with the computer and wiring i also have a 400 small block carb. if you where do drop in a new engine what would you use? i know it would cost less do use the carb but it is going to be driven alot and with the price of gass i see the little extra i would spend on the 4.6 would equal out with the price of the carb.
well it is from a 96 or 97. from what i can tell i can make it in to a 4v by chaning the heads and the timing but i could be wrong.
i would not mind doing a nice 5.7 or 6.0. one more thing the 4.6 was pushing 270hp at the wheels before the car was smashed up

5.3L`s are cheap and a 5.3 with boltons will probably make more than 270 at the wheels, a cam swap and it would definently make more. I have a 2001 5.3L with 120 thousand miles on it and the only thing it has is a performance tune and f-body manifolds/cats and it puts out 253HP at the wheels.
