3.8l V6 Qs...........
Anyway, I know this is way OT but I need some info on the GM 3.8l motor that was an option in the 4th gen camaros. I need to know things like it's external dimensions and anything that makes it unique mounting wise from a LT1/4 or LSx.
Reason behind this is that I have an 87 944 n/a that I want to swap a little more power into. The common swap is either the LT or LS series motor, but thats a lot more power than I want (need). The stock motor puts out a mind boggling 158hp (at the crank) so it wouldn't take much to see an improvement. I want a dead reliable setup as I commute 180 miles each way to work so MPG is a concern as well.
Thanks for any input here and once again I apologize for this being so far OT. If it's any consolation I am prepping my '69 camaro for an LSx swap as we speak.
Pete
