Default tunning question regarding a swap

i thought i'd post this here cause i'm sure most of us will have this question at some stage of their conversion:

i finished my conversion and after wiring the car up with a T.P.I.S. harness i try to start the thing and it would crank but not fire.

there is adiquate fuel pressure and it seems that the runners get wet when cranking , but there is no spark what so ever.

on the scan tool it shows rpm as being 89 when cranking, so that rules out the crank sensor i guess.

the pcm i'm using is off an auto vette and i'm not sure what year it is. the car is throttle by cable while the vette's system is by wire.

i'm assuming my no start situation is caused by the vats or the nutural safety thingy or a combination of both ( or if anyone thinks its something else please share).

if i get hp tuners can i reprogram the pcm as a 99' or 2000 camaro pcm with a 6 speed ??

if so , how can i do it ( steps involved) on hp tuners?

Did you get rid of the VATS?

nope, but isn't the vats supposed to let the car run for a couply of seconds then kill the fuel not the spark?

It's one problem you need to take care of before you try trouble shooting. Then you know, for certain, that it's not the reason the car won't run.

I had a similar problem when I went to start it up. Fuel pressure was good, coils had 12V and were firing. Took all spark plugs out and they were bone dry. Turns out all 8 of the injectors were varnished up and not spraying any fuel (motor sat on a stand for a while). I pulled the rail and the injectors, flipped them over and hooked them back up. Then I just kept spraying some B12 on them while cranking the car, pretty soon all of the injectors opened up and were spraying good. Put everything back together and it fired right up. Then I got busy cleaning the winshield off. Please if anyone tries this, do it under extreme caution for obvious reasons.

Good luck.

in my case i think the injectors are fine since it seems the runners get wet when i crank.

hopefully i'll have the pcm flashed and programmed today.
wish me luck!
