Custom bending for intake tubing

Custom bending for intake tubing
I would lke to have some 3.5" or 4" aluminum tubing mandrel bent. I am thinking an exhaust shop could do this IF they have big enough mandrels, so far I have not found anyone. I am not stuck on using aluminum material, but I do want it to be light, some variety of plastic or silicon would be OK too as long as it was smooth flowing and looked decent. Any suggestions on how to shop for such a service or product?
thanks

I would like this info as well. I can't find a good source for silicon tubing. I found these guys for mandrel bends: http://www.globaltecheng.com/elbows.htm
I will need some intake bends for my swap.

I don't know about where you guys live, but around here NO ONE has a mandrel bender for that type of tubing. Roll cage tubing, yes, but not thin walled stuff for air intake. Best bet is to order some prebent suff online...that's what I usually do (or you can order it from a speed shop)

One place to check out would be your local big rig supply house. Most of those guys have stuff in that size range for either exhaust (kinda small for them) or intake lines. Don't know if they'll be of any help or not.

A place with a true mandrel bender is very rare. There is only one in the entire state of Oklahoma that I am aware of and it is owned by the guys who make a bunch of the parts for Orange County Choppers. Maybe you will have better luck finding one in your area if not your best bet would be as it was said before to get some pre-bend pieces.
