bellhousing boss ????????? i am installing a 5.3 in my 85chevy truck. 5.3 is mating to a turbo 350. i have noticed that the 3 o'clock belhousing boss has never been drilled or tapped. any one else run into this

If the hole you are talking about is the one right behind the #8 cyl then you cannot drill it, GM determined that the bolt in that position was not needed and they left it out. If you drill it you WILL hit piston, do not try to drill it.
