Paging John McGraw: LS2 Oil Pan ??? Hi John, If I am not mistaken, I believe you installed a LS1 F-body pan on a LS2.
Was it a straight forward swap? Does it bold down in the same way the LS2 pan and are the gaskets the same? Will the LS1/LS6 pick up and O ring work with the LS2 oil pump?
Is there any part missing from this list that would be needed for the pan swap?
Ls1 Oil Pan
Ls1 windage tray
Ls1 pick up tube and O ring
Ls1 pan bolts
Ls1 pan gasket
Anyone else who might have info on this can chime in

That's pretty much all you need with the exception of the oil dipstick and tube. The GTO pan has the dipstick in the side of the pan and the hole in the block has an expansion plug in to seal it up. You will need to punch out the plug and install a block mounted dipstick. If you are using the GTO manifolds, you will have to use something like a Lokar dipstick, since the F-body dipstick will not mount up to clear the manifold. No need for new bolts, but you will need the little blockoff plate thatis above the oil filter. This is the plate that a lot of people drill and tap for an oil pressure tap.
