Jim who built your frame looks nice! I got a 55 Chevy 2dr post and kicking around Ideas for a swap.
Like a Vortec 6.2L stroked with the 6L80E trans. Turbo or supercharger? And IRS.
Thanks

Whats ball park price on that frame? I like it!!!
Now all I need is the motor!
....currently awaiting e-coat. Once we get it back from e-coat, final body work and paint is next and then assembly can finally get started. Thanks,

This seems like quite a project, with having to possibly change fuel tanks, two fuel lines, get computer set up, different speedometer (although I know S&P has a conversion for the tail of the Tranny for regular speedo). ETC ETc.
I'm also thinking I may be needing to change radiators. I have a good aluminum radiator, but it is original 56 style, with the water outlet at top and bottom, not a crossflow.
I'll be broke soon.

What did you do for a foot pedal? I see you have drive by wire.

Does anyone know if the oil pan that comes on the Corvette engine will fit in a '56 Chevy? I know that the Camaro one needs to be modified, but not sure about the Corvette. It is very different. It is very low profile, but wide. Measurements won't help me, as I have no idea what measurement is needed to fit. Does anyone have that info?
Headers
I know that Street and Performance make headers to go in a '56. I know they make them to clear a 605 steering box, I presume others as well. Sanderson does not make them for a '56 to clear the 605. I called and asked.
Front end pulley system
I really like the system that just came out by Billet Specialties. I put up another post asking if anyone had any idea if the A/C unit would work down low with their system. I know that it won't from factor, and other systems, so I presume not.
The only response I got was 'knotch the crossmember'. That sorta scares me. I don't want to weaken it. And while I have a torch and wire welder, it's been years now, and I'm not confident in my talents there, and don't know where/measurements to notch. I wonder if anyone would have that info/measurements, or if I'd have to purchase the system and drop it down to figure it out. What are your thoughts?
I also like the March stuff. It is coated so that it will retain it's shine.
I'm on a search for electronic throttle stuff: TAC, Gas Pedal that works with '04 Vette.
Be talking to you later.
Hoping to see more people doing tri-fives here.
Roger
