Default coolant hose routing

Ive got a 00' LS1 into my 91' Camaro. Im using the stock radiatior. My question is do i have my coolant lines hooked up to run properly.

I have the upper hose going to the port on top of the water pump
Lower hose going to the bottom port on the water pump
Im running just a loop right now for the heater hoses

****Heres the question i have
Im running the TB coolant line into a T on one of the heater hose lines

Will this work??? which heater hose line should i put the T fitting into.

You got the upper and lower right. Either hose will work for the T.

I put my TB bypass hose T into the heater line that is further toward the front of the engine as it exits the waterpump. That is where GM put the T in on the 04 envoy.

You do not need to run coolant through the throttle body, but you do need to connect the line into the cooling system somewhere to let steam escape from the heads. It can go to the radiator, into a heater line or some folks are drilling and tapping the water pump and routing it there.

This may or may not work. This connection (TB) is for releaving trapped air/steam that gets into parts of the engine that are higher then the radiator hose connections and thus may allow parts of the engine(read: heads) to overheat.

Yea ive heard capping the steam line from the heads is a bad thing. Ive by-passed my TB coolant line so really i was talking about my steam line. But hell looks like i got everything hooked in right now its time to purge the system

Would it be best to have steam line at highest point of system rather than in water pump or heater hose. Or does it make much difference

the ideal place is in the water tank where the radiator cap is.. that lets it "burp" out the fastest..
but as long as its flowing, the air bubbles will move and work out, so no.. it doesnt have to be "higher".

The plug for the electric fans is the same plug used for my single fan, so could i just plug in my 3rd gen fan to the 4th gen harness without modifiying anything?

Also how do i get the entire system full of coolant? is there a way to bypass the thermostat? and what is the stock thermostat set to and when is the fan suppose to kick on?

thats entirely possible. GM is well known for keeping their own set standards between cars.. so if it plugs in, it SHOULD work... you can easily check the polarity with a volt meter if you feel the need...
i cant tell you for sure, since i didnt use that part of the 4thgen harness.

take off the upper radiater hose at the radiator, and keep filling the hose till the engine is full.. then put it back on and fill the rest of the system. it still may need to burp after that, but on the first start, just keep it full and your eye on the temp gauge.

thermostat is around the 210*F range i believe.... the fan kicks on whenever the engine reaches the temp PCM is set to, or when the PCM gets the "AC on" signal... the PCM also kicks off the fans once you go over ~35mph...

No, that will not work. That takes it outside the pressurized cooling system and in fact would release pressure from the system. It needs to connect somewhere within the pressuized system. You can put a T in the upper radiator hose (JagsthatRun sells one) or a T in the heater hose, a fitting in the radiator tank, or a fitting on the water pump. Lots of options, probably some I did not mention.

The upper hose connection on the engine end is 1.25 inches. What size is your radiator neck? It depends on what hose configuration you decide on as to which T fitting you will need. For the by pass hose you will need the 3/8" connection.
