Fitting an LS1 or LS2 into an '86 Iroc

Fitting an LS1 or LS2 into an '86 Iroc I am sure this has been done a million times. But, i am new to the "new school" technology. How straight forward is this swap? I has a 305 TPI right now. THanks for any advice.
you might want to check out the engine swap section on www.thirdgen.org as they have a lot of information about this. if you scroll down in this section theres also a thread called "LSx into Third Gen Resource" or something similar.
finally, another great bet is to go to www.mofbody.com as its a local fbody forum to you (im a member from kansas city). theres a member there that swapped an LS1 and t56 into his 91 GTA Trans Am that will be of great help to you as well.

you can search online for people who've done the swap.

While their service for shipping products can be less than desirable, they do a decent job of illustrating their LS1 into a 3rd gen install
