LS1 swap into a.... Im looking to swap a LS1 into my 1978 Caprice 2 door coupe.
Has anyone done this before to this year car ( the BOXY Caprice/Impala ) ?
Can someone give me any pointers, advice , part numbers or refernces to help at all ?
Heres the car so you understand what im trying to do.
Heres what it is replacing.

I'm in the progress of putting a 2003 LS1 vortec engine in a 1990 Caprice Classsic station wagon. I live in arizona so it's too hot to do the swap now.

Holllyyy $hit !!! That is some niiiiiiiiiiiiice work !!! How much did the complete engine swap cost including the cost to get the new tank, cross members and fab them till it all fit an worked together correctly ?
Im going to be using a built TH350 tranny on mine instead of the 700R4 though.
Im trying to do this on a Peanutbutter and Jelly budget.
I LOVE your car though... wow !!!
