Default Drive by Wire Conversion

I'm interested in having the drive by wire in the car when I do the LS1. Now, if I get in a hurry, I'll end up buying an LS1 w/o that combination.

I'm thinking that what I'd need to get there then would be:

Throttle body
Tach module
Electronic pedal
Pedal to module harness

Anything else? Is this stuff found relatively easy? From what I've seen, a new throttle body is pretty expensive.

I'm trying to decide if I should wait on a Corvette pullout. Of course, if I find one, it may not have all those parts available anyway.

Any thoughts on what I should expect to pay for that list of stuff? (I do have some prices for it new.)

Oh, and by the way: One thing that I just realized I would need is something for engaging the cruise control. Any ideas on what I'd need to do that? I have a Tilt/Telescopic column out of a 69 Olds in my 56 now. The current cruise has the old style push button arm on the column on the left.

You have the list of stuff correct, but don't confuse things by calling the TAC a tach module, it has nothing to do with a tachometer. For prices, watch EBay, I got the pedal and throttle body with my motor but had to buy the TAC, paid $85, the next week one sold for $30! For the pedal to module Harness I paid $50 extra to Speartech. He also has other parts, so check with him. For my cruise switch I found about an '87 vintage turn stalk, key is find one with 4 wires, you need them all. The old ones only have 3.

Many Thanks! That is helpful

I got that list from Speartech. Thanks for the clarification on the TAC module.

I'll watch eBay.
