Need fuel system advice...
Need fuel system advice... I'm going to be running a fuel cell and an external fuel pump. I am planning on running the '99 and up fuel regulator and filter assembly. This is going to be hooked up to a '00 LS1 that came out of a Trans Am. I'm going to be running a TREX external pump that I already have from another project I was working on.
Anybody got any write ups on what hoses I'll need? What tools I'll need to make up the ends and attach the AN fittings onto the hoses? Also, what do I do with the vent hose, can that just get plugged off?
I've read through the FAQ in this section and see suggestions about the fuel filter and regulator and the connections people can use to hook up to the quick disconnect on the fuel rail but beyond that I'm pretty confused on what to do.

TTT, just looking for help on what lines I can run and how to get them set up. Trying to do this as inexpensive as possible but still have it be good if that makes sense.

You left out way to much information for anyone to hold you hand threw it. Is your tank sumped? Do you have AN hookups anywhere? Are you running a fuel cell? Is the TREX pump AN or Pipe? There is just about now way somone could tell you every piece you need to buy. What you need to do is start at your fuel tank, and just work your way forward.

I don't have anything else for the fuel system yet beyond the pump, although that could change if the TREX won't work. Planning on going with a sumped fuel cell and run an external fuel pump. That's about all I've got. Trying to do the research before spending any money so I know what I need to get.
