Mount hole offset?

Mount hole offset? I still can get my ls1 to set down in the mounts on my 3rd gen. I have the hawks plates bolted in the correct spot and 1 side will drop fine... other side is 1/4" off from lining up.
I am using prothane motor mounts but my questing is that the clam shells for the mounts look like they offset the bolt hole from the "center" if im looking this correct...
Should the offset hole of the mount be higher up or lower down. I figured I may have them on upsidedown and backwards.

Not sure what you mean... You will probably hvae to post some pics to show what you mean. I put mine on backwards at first too. But I had the k-member off, and was able to mock up while the motor was out of the car as well. He has them marked right and left... so make sure you have the right on the pass. side, and left on the driverside to start out with. Remember that the 3rd gen mounts sat close to the front of the car, and the hawks mounts will sit more towards the rear of the car. Sounds like you have one of them rotated 180* or something along those lines.
