S10 LS1 and towing.
Heh heh. Yep, pulled all kinds of stuff with mine. Boats, loaded car trailers, etc. The motor will easily pull what the truck may have trouble stopping. Been there, done that. You will also find out in a hurry how well you designed and executed your cooling system.
For the kind of weight you're talking (couple of jet skis, under 2,000lbs) you shouldn't have any trouble at all. You will discover how inadequate the brakes are, however.....
For heavier trailers, you'll push the limits of the cooling system, transmission, and brakes. Hopefully you won't push too far. The highest rated hitch I've seen for the S10 platform is 6,000lbs (and technically, thats with a weight distributing hitch). Factory tow ratings are typically under that weight. I think my Bravada (4.3, auto, AWD, 4dr blazer) has a 5500lb rating (thats with the V6).
I intend upon dragging a 4,000+ boat on a tandem axle trailer around when I'm done with my conversion. Nice thing about it is "it's got brakes", electric brakes on both axles....So hopefully my brakes won't be too overtaxed before I get around to upgrading to C5/LS1 stuff front/rear.
