what to shut off?????? i am finally to the point of starting my 5.3... i installed it in my 85 silverado 4x4, which i think will make a hell of a good dailly driver...... my truck has a 350turbo and 3.08 gears. i removed all the egr, emissions, rear 02s, ac, tranny wires, and weeded out all the uneeded wiring from my harness.....i will be using hptunners to delete the unwanted...... any ideas what all i should start with..... i guess somehow it will have to think its a manual since theres no speed sensor...... thanks for the help;
All the emmissions, tranny related codes. Also, if you don't have VATS, turn that off too. You're not running a speed sensor with the Turbo350? You wont get full spark advance without a speed sensor signal to the PCM unless you tune for that through the tables (Low octane?). I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge will be able to point you to the right tables.
