'97+ 3000gt?

Anyone done the swap? The VR4s are pretty cool cars, but I think a V8 would make it just a bit cooler. Not sure on how feasible it would be to keep the AWD, but what do you guys think?

If you could keep the AWD you'd be god. Lol but no I bet that's not possible. You'd have to find all the different parts that would fit. I mean if somone can stuff an LS1 into a 240SX this swap should be easy.

The VR4 gearbox is notoriously weak, so keeping it AWD even if you could solve the space constraints would be almost impossible.
What you'd essentially be doing is a FWD to RWD conversion, with the exception that the 3000GT already has provisions for a driveshaft and a rear differential. Its unlikely that the 3000GT has sufficient front-to-back engine compartment clearance for a longitudinally mounted V8, and hood clearance would also be an issue.
