Gas tank question

Guys
For the 68 camaro that I am doing a swap on, I have a question.I am planing on useing a in-line pump. Could I use a new tank and weld a 3/8 fitting on the bottom middle of the tank?? That way it should gravity feed the fuel pump.What do you think??

And how do you plan on keeping it covere in fuel during acceleration, braking, or cornering with a lower tank? (like 1/2 a tank....)

how did the tanks inc set up work for you

I need to do the same for my conversion, did you use a stock tank?

bought a stainless stock tank from classic ind. (they're running the 20% off sell right now)

i mounted the tanks inc setup on the passanger side of tank so i could keep original sending unit in the middle. there's not room above the tank for the hoses & fittings, once tank is mounted to car. i plan to add some wedges above the tank to drop the front of the tank down about an inch.
