FDs are much more costly to maintain and upgrade and restore to stock or better than new (bushings, etc) because the rarity, low volume of parts made, etc.
but FDs are without a doubt the best handling and most capable of insane lap times, plus, IMHO theyre best looking. clean titled rollers are very hard to find under 7 grand. price wise an LS1 install into an FD will be similar to a 240sx unless you DIY on the 240sx mounts.
