I have been driving my car for over a month now with no problems but now the little things are bothering me. Right now, my MIL is off but the LED has a faint glow?? Is this due to the resistance in the LED not being right? (I have no clue what the resistance should be) I am just using a radio shack orange panal mount LED with a small built in resistor. Like I said, the PCM command is off but there is a faint glow. Daytime you can't see it but at night you can. Also the bulb check feature works fine and it glows very bright with KOEO. Let me know your thoughts.
The PCM grounds all warning lights including the MIL right??? So if the PCM isnt triggering the ground....that light should be dark. Im wondering if there is a slight short somewhere in the wire that you used to go from the PCM to the light. I think Im using the same warning lights as you from radio shack. Im going to change eventually...but they will work for now. Mine stay completely off except for KOEO and if there is a code. Maybe something inside the light housing is messed up. Maybe go grab another one or try to return it. They are cheap enough.

Yeah, its a strange setup that uses a 12V+ feed and the PCM MIL control is actually a 12V+ also, the driver for the MIL control switches from 12V+ to a ground when the MIL command is on. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem (like if the resistance had to be significant) or if my PCM is not happy
I can live with the slight glow, it is very dim I just do not want to burn the driver out of the PCM. If I ever figure it out I'll let you know
