2 dr Tahoe LS1??

2 dr Tahoe LS1?? Has anyone put an LS1 into a 2 door tahoe or yukon. I have a 94 full-size blazer which is the same thing and I've always wanted to do this. I didnt know if it would require much work or if everything basically bolts up and if the rear and all would handle it. And with a cam only LS1 are low 14's out of the question, I've never done nothing like this so excuse me for being so dumb about it. But if i did it i would want it to be worth it and able to beat my brothers VHO silverado at least...but preferably be able to keep with TB SS 
Sounds like a great idea to me I always loved the 2-dr tahoes. It should be a fairly straightforward swap as there is plenty of room and the stock tranny should bolt up the trick would be locating the engine correctly to maintain the factory location for the tranny so you don't have to mess with the transfer case and cutting drive shafts. However if its 2wd that makes it that much easier.

Your best bet is to get 6.0 with 4l80 trans. Shouldn't be a real hard swap there are a number of guys who have them in pickups of the same year. You could search for those. As for the stock trans you might get it to work but it would not handle the power.
Engine I agree with the 6.0/4L80E combo. There was an 06 3/4 ton Chevy van drivetrain for sale in Dallas for $2,500. Complete pullout. Van was in an accident where a Semi sandwiched it in between a guard rail. Motor/Tranny was perfect. You can find deals if you look hard enough.
