Default Converting M6 to AUTO/ AUTO to M6

Her is my situation, I am in need of a motor pcm and trans (full drop out) for a 2000 camaro that I am putting back together, which is setup for a M6.

I have found a donor car but it is a auto. So swaping over to auto should be no problem, I will have all the need parts ect.

I would rather have a M6, but maybe down the road at a later date, will see. My question is would I be able to keed my pcm? From the auto setup.
I have access to HP Tuners so changing the pcm settings should not be a problem. Would I have to obtaine a M6 engien harness or could I just rewire/repin my current auto harness for a M6.

I guess what I am asking is what is involved in the going from on to the other. Is it a must to get a new harness?

Thanks Chris

You can repin your current harness. It is more like remove a bunch of wires and add a coulple. I just did this because my motor and harness were from an auto car. Then flash the PCM and go.
