The old car weighed 3030 with me in it and a full bottle. The car had a stock ls1 with a cam and bottle I used a set of 1-3/4 mac long tudes for a fox mustang with a 351 windsor and cut the flanges off and welded the ls1 flanges I purchased from mac. The car ran a best of 6.26 1/8 @111.

That is pretty sweet and a total sleeper.

My parent's owned a '78 Fairmont wagon (yellow) that had a 302 in it. At the time I thought it hauled *** (I was 10 years old). I never realized that they were so light!

Do you have any fiberglass parts on it or lexan?

111mph in the 1/8th is hauling ***!

What 60' times were you cutting (on the back tires?)

Awesome sleeper. What did you use for k-member and motor mounts on the first one? Was it auto or stick?

i used a upr 4.6 k-member and mad solid motor mounts very simple and easy to make. The car had a 4l60e with a yank converter , then i blew i up so i put a glide in it with a manuel valve body and a ptc converter for nitrous, and it was very driveable with the glide. The car always had 355 gears and 60ft was a 1.29 best.

the brown car had a stock 8.8 that i had smashed an extra clutch in the limited slip unit. the fairmonts use mustang control arms so i bought upr double adjustble uppers and single adjustable lower control arms with a stock spring and comp enginering shocks , and it was a josh lindsey sway bar that i got right befor they closed down.
here is a pic of the old set up

I would post pics of my car.. but its a pile of parts right now.
And I would have to go into every room in my house to get a pic of all the parts...Dont make me sound like I live in a nice house.

New car looks good John..not cutting any corners this time.
