Default Oil pressure port?

is there a second port to obtain oil pressure. my ford sending unit works backwards of the GM sender and there is no room to split the factory hole.

next to the oil filter there is a block with a hole in it bolted to the block. i dont think its the oil bypass. can i drill and tap that to use. Thanks, rich.

The oil pressure sender for the LS1 is only for the gauge, the ECU does not get an oil pressure signal. So, if you are not using a GM gauge, you do not need the original sender and can just use your Ford sender, if you can adapt it to the port.

Straight. Sensor uses a crush ring.

Putting the oil pressure sensor in that location will lead to premature failure due to exhaust heat.
