Default Part # Help

I see a harness number listed in the sticky section, but I want to make sure that this is the correct number for the coil harness(s)

I am using the MSD Coils and have already purchased the coil brackets

I am going to get them from gmpartsdirect.com and with the way they are I have to make sure they are correct

thanks in advance

Contact your local GM dealer w/ the part number or have them look the part number up for you to verify.

They can also generate a printout for you (blowup) and identify parts this way. If there is one thing I've learned whil working on my swap, it's that the last thing you want is to order the wrong part, then not be able to return it, rinse & repeat. It sucks going to the dealer, but it saves time and project delays in the long run

Have you guys actually tried calling a dealer?

The guys where I am from don't even have a clue, and when you try and explain what you are doing they start acting like some real a-holes

Don't explain just tell them what you need. Pretend like you actually own the car not just the motor. Might help to go the in person.

I go in person. I walk in, tell them I own the car of the part I'm looking for, tell them what I think the part is, or at least what it looks like or what category it's in (emissions, intake, cooling, exhaust, interior wiring, engine bay wiring, whatever) and ask them to pull it up and help me find it. They can usually pull up diagrams to help you out, if your parts guy knows his stuff, and most GM guys do.

I have the same experience with my MKIV VW GTI, so if GM and VW have these little interior diagrams, I would assume most dealerships do.
