I want to use my Borg Warner Super T10 4 speed from my 1974 Vette with a 1999 vette LS1 that I bought. Question is how do I connect this trans to the engine? Does someone make a bell housing? Also what clutch will work?
Second: I have no harness. Is Painless a good way to go? I do have the PCM.
Thanks, Bob

It is a little tricky to hook them up but has been done many. many times. I hooked a Muncie up to my LS1 and my expriences are in the Sticky Section. You can use a stock bell housing that took the big Chevy flywheel/clutch, it bolts right up minus one bolt. Ram and I am sure many other have pressure plates and discs. Use my experience and it will be fairly easy.

i have an brand new sfi bellhousing (has some scratches on it from shipping i guess - came that way). LAK-15005. i was going to use a tko-600 with my ls1, but i found a deal on a t56 i couldn't refuse. want it? $250 shipped. They run a bit over $300+shipping usually.
also, you can modify an existing ls1 harness without too much difficulty, i hear. I haven't done this yet, and would also be interested in what people have to say. i'm willing to bet the immediate response will be to look at the stickies and search the forums. eBay seems to have some stand-alone kits for about $100 that should convert an existing harness to standalone. maybe they work ok?
