Default 69 Chevelle Swap

I am looking for some information about how I would go about swapping LS1 or LT4 into my 1969 Chevelle Malibu? I wanted to know mainly what kind of mechanical to electronic part swaps I would have to make to get the thing to work.

I would also like to know some technical information on the blocks, cid, hp, tq, ect. One concern is... If I cannot afford to swap all of the electronics is it possible to turn this block into a Carbed engine instead of fuel injection (I ask because I have seen LS1/LT4 short blocks for sale moderately cheap)

I am not to familar with chevy engines because Im just beginning in the car world so I would apprciate any information you can give me... thanks.

Well not to be mean, but use the search button and start some research. Google for "LS1 specs", "LS6 Specs" ... There are quite a few A-body swaps on here. My link is in the sig. I would keep the EFI and you can get a LS1 w/ alll accesories, PCM and harness for ~$2500. Fuel injection is a wonderful thing and a aftermarket 350SBC EFI kit can cost $2000.

Look through the FAQ too. There is tons of info here. Ask more questions after reading and searching.

You better read threads on this. There is a lot involved. It should not be considered a 'Swap' it is more like re-engineering the car to accept the new engine. Unless you happen to have fabrication skills and some expertise in this engine I would not recomend you tackling this. I did mine but I own a repair shop and we build race cars.
