LS2 manifold pipe connections

LS2 manifold pipe connections Can somebody post some pics of what type of connection is made to the manifold by the head pipes on a stock Corvette LS2 manifolds? it is a two bolt flange, but it has a circular recess in the manifold that is flat and about .050" deep. Does it use a gasket, or is the pipe just flanged over and sits in the recess? It is nothing like the LS6 or the GTO LS2 connection, as both of those are cone-shaped manifold connections. I am thinking that I will just weld the pipes to a standard two bolt flange, grind the weld flat with the flange and make a round copper or aluminum gasket to sit in the recess and seal against the flange, but I would be interested in seeing how the stock application sealed. This is the first two bolt flange that I have ever seen that was not just a flat flange that could be gasketed with a standard two hole flange gasket.
