sbf427f-car go look for a GTO rear end. will have everything you need mate. also will be more than strong enough for you. if you really want to get technical than you can fab up some wishbones/trailing arms no problems!

alternatives include 3series BMW stuff.

IRS is the best solution and is whats used over here alot.

thanks Chris.

PS while your looking at the GTO, get engine and box to! lol

Stock 03-04 ratio is 3.55, not sure about the Explorers.

That's also a posibility. What center sections do the CTS and GTO use?

Hey 99...what advantages are there to getting the breaks inboard like that? I realise that it gets them off the corners so you're reducing corner weight but then you complicate cooling (which putting vents and ducting to them wouldn't be that big of a deal I suppose).

Is there something else I'm missing?

Main advantage is less unsprung weight = easier to keep the wheels on the ground in bumps. You are right, that it's harder to cool, but sevens are not particularly hard on brakes.

No, I know they aren't...what is it that Champion / Chapmen preach, add lightness.

Hum...I had not considered that for added traction ability, but it makes sense. Great...way to throw another wrench into my planning works

I'd put that at the bottom of the list. A novel feature, and nice to have, but I'm not sure if it's worth doing alot of custom stuff.
