Default 68-73 Nova LSx swaps

If anyone on this site has or is in the midst of this swap, please post some info. It seems that there are many first generation Camaro swaps but no so many X-body swaps. So if anyone has important information, details, tips, pictures... Anything, let me know.

Thanks to all.

Default 5.3/4l60e

I'm in the middle of a Vortec swap right now. It's pretty much the same motor design and almost everything swaps over. It's a 5.3/4L60E out of a 2002 GMC Sierra, should be good for 285hp. Here's some pic's. 68-74 Nova's share the same subframe as a 67-69 Camaro. So the sticky at the top of the page should help you alot. I know it has for me.

Thanks. I know there is a lot of info. at the top of the page, but there is way too much to search through. If there is anyone else with an LSx Nova, please step up.

Thanks.

Check with Spike TV (I know they have a web page) on the Powerblock show called Musclecar TV. They did a nice LS2 swap in a 71 nova called project granny sneakers. They had all kinda of info on motors mounts, fabbed some headers, etc.. Good luck.

Try going to the following or search on specific subjest..

S&P.. they have a DVD you can get from them. They have pictures of there swaps..here is there Camaro LS1 swap: http://www.hotrodlane.cc/Streetstori...ls1camaro1.htm

You can also get some info from ATS who does a lot of Camaro work.

BRP's site, has information on there swap of the YearOne 69 Camaro. http://www.brphotrods.com/1969_NOV8T.../69camaro.html

Else read the FAQ and should you have specfic question or subject to ask about.. we can help.. You might pickup some PM's and phone numbers of people who have done the swap.. and work with them directly.. but to ask us for a step by step process in the forum.. is asking a lot from use as well as time.
