Any pics would be greatly apperated. Anything on how to put them in like the monting brakets if i need to extend anthing. Basicly im lookin for all the info i can to do this. I'm not goin to put this in for a while yet. I'm just trying ro rearch it as much as possible be for i get started and how much its goin to cost. Thanks for all the help.
How much work you're going to do and how much you spend on parts will be the true determining factor.
Here's an example:
I've got over $7k in my truck. That does include a 6.0L LQ4 ($1200), 4L80E ($800), fresh NV246 ($1000), custom harness & PCM ($1100).
Some of the fun stuff:
Engine Mounts: Turbotime, $100.
Oil Pan: Made by me, Turbotime is selling one for $550.
Corvette accessory drive: pieced together from used stuff, probably $450.
Exhaust: '02 Camaro manifolds, heavily modified, to 2.5" head pipes to single 3" Cat & full catback system.
I did most all of the work myself. I did farm out the wiring harness / PCM. My truck is probably a little more expensive, since I upgraded to the 4L80E & NV246 (instead of keeping the 4L60E and retaining my NV136) but the 60E is a ticking time bomb behind anything with decent power and traction (like my AWD Bravada). There just isn't any wheelspin to save the trans from the beating.
