Default removing wiring from the donor vehicle

I am getting a 4.8L from an 03 truck. I guess I am just looking for some tips for removing the wiring. The engine block itself will be pulled by the junkyard but I would like to get the harness off first. Also it has the electric throttle body and I am getting the pedal as well. What else should I get with the pedal? Is there an additional module for it or does it run directly to the pcm?

Just follow all the wires around the engine, bring coveralls, you'll have to crawl under the vehicle to get the crank sensor and oil level plug and guide under front of engine. Its probably better to just unplug all the connector plugs to the body harnesses and coil the harness up on the engine and let them pull it that way. Just ask them to pull carefully so no wiring or plugs get damaged. Don't forget the TAC module and harness to the gas pedal. Module should be on firewall above the brake booster towards fender.Try and get the plug and as much wire as you can that is part of the body harness and includes the cruise control wiring. This wll make it easy to hook up your cruise control. Good luck. If you can, get the y-pipes and cats as well as the o2 sensors, MAF sensor and air duct. Also ac and power steering hoses might work for your car. Get as much of the stuff the stuff that connects to the engine as you can, especially if they'll include at no charge. Also the engine compartment fuse box. Will save you couple hundred bucks down the road. Good luck.
