Default LS1 into a 240SX.

Might be going with the El Es Juan instead of the 302 swap in my 240SX, gonna cost more to beef the car up than the motor and tranny cost

There's no way I'm buying the $4k kit I see online. That's just crazy!

ls1 weighs less and 300+ rwhp out of the box.

I test fit a 302 in an S14...stick with the LS1. Way better fit and more power. Better looking too.

Even the 302 with aluminum heads weighs less than the stock 2.4L in the Nissan. Did my homework on that part. I'm just hoping the stock rear end holds up. It's supposed to stand up to 400 HP but who knows if it will.

a 240 rear end can handle alot more than 400hp. i see you finally saw the light quas

I think you've got me mistaken for somebody else....I've always lived in KY until a year ago.

And, like memphis said...don't worry about the rear. I'd put the Nissan diff up against anything else of a similar size. It's held 500+hp on numerous cars for extended periods of time.

nissan diff has held up to 1000whp (welded) the only weak points on the rear end is the welded seems (which can crack due to rust and to many clutch kicks) and the poly bushings. and of course axles. other than that it clowns most rear ends.
