Took the LS1 miata to the track

Took the LS1 miata to the track All in all, fun day. I haven't been to a track in over 3 years, forgot how much fun it was. =)
So, with some 195/50/15's it wasn't the best way to try and make it down the 1/4 mile, But I did pull off some 2.02 60' times, pretty much racing to 1/8 mile and braking to the 1/4. Convertible, non roll-bar or 5 point harness. Didn't want to get kicked off right away. The last run of the day, was a 13.1 at 112. I don't have the slip in front of me for the exact numbers, but i'll post 'em up later. That run I also had a crappy 60' with a 2.1. 1st gear is roll in.......2nd gear is roll in, 3rd gear is when I can fianlly go full throttle. So with some sticker tires should be alot better. My 1/8 mile times were around 8.6's at 87ish to give you an idea how how traction limited it is in the lower gears.

wow! that is one bad *** looking 240. just so you know im stealing that idea
never seen a convert with the 97-98 front on it. if i ever find a convert im buying it. just so i can do that. is there any more pics of that car anywhere? i found 3 on that page.
