Default LS2 and torque management

Does anybody have experience with using an LS2 (GTO) and stock PCM?

I'm looking at using a complete pull out from an 05 GTO for a conversion. It's come to my attention that the torque management cannot be completely tuned out. Is it better to stick with the LS1?

I would really appreciate any advice!

Thanks

From what I've heard, it can be tuned out and supposedly even the LS1 GTOs have TM. Most of this is documented on LS2GTO.com if you'd like to read more about it.

torque managements helps transmission live. I rebuild automatics for a living. In todays high tech engine/trans controls, the trannys are built lighter, smaller, and everything is done to conserve fuel, power losses etc.

Even if this means pulling timing during shifts so clutches don't slip.

just wanted to throw that out there.
