Default LS1 Plastic fuel lines OK?

I'm wanting to avoid bending new steel lines for my LS1 T56 conversion in my 69 Camaro. I was thinking I could do a nice neat job by running 2 - 3/8" plastic lines made for fuel injection, inside the frame rail connectors and inside the subframe. I have a corvette LS1 with a return line and wanted to keep all the fittings the same size by running 3/8" for both. GM uses the plastic lines all the time. I have a 255 Walbro intank pump in a modified fuel tank. Am I looking for trouble?

I would say short sections of plastic would be be ok. I don't believe I would run them the entire lenght. Have you thought about a factory line?

Buy repro pre-bent stainless lines from someone like Ricks, and cut the hose barbs off the ends. You can either flare them for AN fittings, or use good (ie, Swagelok) compression to AN fittings.

i used oem nylon repair lines, theyre awesome. only deal is to protect them against any corners or edges they may rub on

my caprice factory has nylon quick connect lines front to back and they are the right length/plug right into the 5.3 fuel rails, i don't see where the difference would be in running them full length or running a short length of them. fuel pressure is fuel pressure and if 2' of nylon line is OK then there is no reason 10 or 12' is bad.

The main concern should be the heat. Keep it away from the high heat from the exhaust and I don't see why you can't use it.
