power steering hose problem

power steering hose problem Still working at fitting a 6.0/4L80E in my '70 Impala and today's issue is with the power steeringpressure hose. How do you guys connect the Impala steering box to the pump on the 6.0? The Impala hose is the right length and shape, the fitting is even the right thread, but the pump does not accept the traditional flare at the end of the hose, it requires an "O" ring type of ending on the tube. Does any one make an adapter? Does any one make a conversion hose?
Also, I find the "modern" oil pressure/power steering/fuel lines are VERY hard to flare, if not impossible. Is it just that I have a bad/cheap tool, or are they a special. hard metal?

What I did was go with Stainless Braided lines and AN fittings for the High side. You can get a 16x1.5mm o-ring adapter (I use Russell) to AN and use some Russell Powerflex Teflon line hose for the PS pump and also adapters on the Steering box side to AN also. For the low side you can just use some normal Power steering hose or also go to AN and Braided lines.
Other option is to go to a shop that make hose and line and have them make you a new high side hose with the correct fittings for both the pump and box.
