Sometimes you need to adjust the clips to get a good bite on the trim. Mine have not flown off yet, and I've tried.
What valve covers and coil bracket holders are those?

Yea, we will mess with the clips on Saturday when we do a "bolt check" on the car.
Bonus warehouse shot..

When this Super Chevy comes out could you do me a favor and buy a copy or two. I want to show a few people that Pro-Touring is a popular segment. Would go a long ways to proving the point if this issue did well.
Besides, the best shots (by Harrington) will be in the issue. Those will make these look amature.

I did what I could. 100% of the design is mine and I worked with all the mechanical stuff. I don't do paint/body and I don't do electrical (besides basic stuff). I also can't do "pretty" welds. However, I know every single part on the car inside and out.
Did that make any sense?
I'll be sure to buy a copy, as pro-touring is certainly a very good way to appreciate the past vehicles and make them more user friendly for today. If time wasn't so scarce, I would love to do a project like this. (now where did I put those seeds to the money tree at

Not having a super-expensive interior or stuff like audio/AC/heat and such helps the price come down. Most of the money is in the drivetrain and suspension.
The paint is a 7/8 on a 1-10 scale. Good enough for a car show and not so nice that you're afraid to drive it.
Please tell me where in the world you order yours from because I have been trying to get those exact ones and none of the dealers that i call seem like they can get them for me and cant answer any questions about them
My desktop used to be your blue '69....Bad Penny looks like it deserves an honored place on my desktop.
I love the pro-touring look & attitude, just can't afford a car like that (plus it'd be a shame to rack up 200+ miles a week on it).
I Look forward to each and every edition of PHR when it shows up in my mailbox. Again, keep up the great work.

However, keep in mind that trick stuff is expension. The rear watts/three-link is $3600 not counting the internals for the 9-inch.
The engine was about $10k.. the trans/clutch another $3k+
It adds up. There's $4k in brakes on the car and another $4k+ in wheels.
The way I look at is is that it's about what I would spend on a new Z06 and this is more fun and unique.

Oh, the feature on this car, and my story, will be in Super Chevy and not PHR. Should be the August issue.
