Mechanical Speedo adaptor?

Mechanical Speedo adaptor? I have installed a T56 6spd in my 1967 camaro but the speedo is electronic. I have been looking into purchasing a mechanical speedo adaptor from the electronic map sensor to the 1967 mechanical speedo cable. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Haven't hooked it up yet, but we bought a cable-X for our 67 Camaro project. We even think we know where we are mounting it. We will let you know how it goes. Do you have pics and stuff from your swap? We are doing an LS1/T56 into a 67 right now. We have a thread on this forum.

Keisler's Automotive also has a solution, and so does Street & Performance ("S&P").
No matter what method you use, you're looking at over $300 to use mechanical. Personally, I'd rather pay $100 for a new electronic speedo than $300 on a new tailshaft + labor involved.

not sure if i'm understanding this correctly or not but...... if the speedo is an autometer like mine, you just take the 2 wires from the speedo sending unit on the side of the trans, one goes to ground and the other goes to the signal imput on the back of the gauge and you're done! this is what a/m told me and 2 minutes later, great success (Borat voice). lol. the great thing about it is it takes 1 simple drive for 2 miles to calibrate the speedo and no matter what tires/gear swap i do, just repeat the setup and it's recalibrated. hope this helps some. if not, sorry for taking up space.
