Default what intake to use?

i have a stock 4.8 2002 motor, for now it will be stock, going to use speartech harness,what would be best the truck intake or use car intake?

get a stock ls1 intake there cheap and look better than a truck

What accy setup are you using? If you are using the truck accys you will have to relocate the idler pulley by the alt and the outlet of the waterpump to use the f-body intake. The fuel injectors and rails are also different between the f-body and truck.

If the truck intake clears your hood I would use it. Go check out some of the intake manifold threads on performancetrucks.net The truck intake makes more power (~10hp/ftlbs) than the f-body intake below 6000RPM. I stuck with the truck intake on my swap because I don`t rev past 6k and it was just a lot easier. The f-body intake looks cooler, but I couldn`t justify the effort to switch it, I guess it depends on how much you value the look of the intake.

I used the truck water pump with my car intake, just takes a little heat and bend the thing just a touch.
